Fashion-forward brides it’s time to celebrate! Haute couture fashion designer Giambattista Valli has launched his first bridal collection.
The “Love” Collection No 1 is an exclusive 17-piece capsule collection of bridal looks, ranging from short mini dresses to evening gowns to a sharply tailored suit, that work for different types of celebrations. The capsule also features pieces for bridesmaids and guests, as well as accessories—shoes, pearl-embroidered clutches, silk-satin bows and tulle details. Dresses start at $9,000 and run up to $29,000, with separates starting at $3,000, according to WWD.
The made-to-order pieces will drop on September 9 and will be sold via trunk shows, with the first show at Bloomingdale’s New York City. Subsequent shows include luxury clothing boutique Capitol in Charlotte, North Carolina, on September 16; Capitol in Brentwood, California, on September 23; and Neiman Marcus in Dallas on October 14. The collection will also show in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Celebrated for his ready-to-wear and haute couture collections, Valli got his start in fashion working for Italian designer Roberto Capucci, where he was introduced to haute couture fashion. He worked for fashion houses Fendi, Krizia and Emanuel Ungaro before launching his own collection and solo show in 2005.
