The Orange is the New Black star recently took to social media to announce her engagement to long-time partner Dennis Gelin. SIGNATURE BRIDE sends our sincere congratulations to the happy couple.
“I never thought one of the best days of my year would happen the last week of the year. I get to marry my best friend. We’re ENGAGED!! So excited to become your wife. D&D until the end,” she captioned a photo of herself and her fiancé, Dennis Gelin.
The engagement wasn’t the only exciting life event for Brooks in 2019. The actress, who’s known for playing Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson on the Emmy-nominated Netflix series, revealed in July that she was five months pregnant with her first child. She welcomed her daughter on November 16, according to her Instagram post.
Although the black-and-white post gave us a sneak peak of the newborn, it received over 650,000 likes and 20,374 comments, which included congratulations from celebrities Gabrielle Union, Lena Waithe and former OITNB co-star Laverene Cox.
