Wedding Dress Trends Fall 2022

Twice a year, we get so excited to see the latest bridal collections and wedding dress trends during Bridal Fashion Week.

The weeklong show showcases the latest and greatest bridal fashion trends in the bridal world—both in person and virtually.

Many things about bridal remain seasonless—a white gown and a romantic veil never fail. However, each year, new trends emerge along with new gowns to dream about. Trends are a fun way to explore your personal style. At SIGNATURE BRIDE, we believe in putting your “signature” on your day. So, if that means you want to wear a pantsuit or a dress with cutouts, do so! The very best trend is the one you feel comfortable in.

Here are some of the wedding dress trends we saw on the runway for the Fall/Winter 2022 bridal season.

Really Ruffled

Ruffles continue to be a huge trend in 2022 with designers like Amsale and Kaviar Gauche making mega volume and dramatic trains the focal point.

Puff Sleeves

The ’80s puff sleeve has had quite a makeover thanks to designers like HalfPenny London and Odylyne the Ceremony. We started to see this trend really take hold at Bridal Fashion Week Spring 2022 thanks to TV shows like Bridgerton. We’d be remiss if we didn’t also pay homage to the entirely new fashion subculture of Cottagecore. We’re happy to see the statement-making sleeve stick around for another season.

Peekaboo Corsets

While a corset may not be new to wedding gowns, a sheer peekaboo corset is a fun new version we’re seeing for 2022. Still on the fence about baring a little skin? Sexy can be a bit demurer with the peekaboo trend, with its sheer paneling for more of an illusion-style look.

Cutouts

Subtle cutouts and hints of lace make for a romantic twist on a classic sheath gown, like this lace number from Lihi Hod, aptly named the Dreams collection.

High-Low Skirts

For the bride who is looking for the best of both worlds, the high-low skirt offers a truly unique vantage point. Here Odylyne the Ceremony pairs its ruffled silk organza overlay dress with a silk satin mini dress. We can’t think of a better gown to showcase your day-of bridal shoes that will go along with it.

Tailored Suiting

Few things compare to the instant polish that a suit provides. Clean lines and tight tailoring give the bride an elegant and crisp look.
