Imagine saying “I do” or celebrating your first days as newlyweds surrounded by swaying palm trees, ocean waves lapping against a secluded shoreline and lush jungle greenery all around you. Then, top it off with a touch of luxury—a private beachfront bungalow or treehouse, curated meals and personalized service that makes everything feel effortless.
Mizata by Antiresort is more than just a romantic retreat—it’s a thoughtfully designed fusion of raw natural beauty and refined luxury, ideal for destination weddings and honeymoons that feel both intimate and unforgettable, yet intentional and soulful.
Nestled along El Salvador’s Pacific coast, in the charming beach town of Mizata, this coastal escape has become one of Central America’s rising stars for destination weddings. International travelers are drawn to its wild beauty: black-sand beaches, world-class surf and vibrant coastal culture—without the crowds of more commercial resorts.

El Salvador’s Mizata Beach is considered one of the most beautiful spots on the country’s Pacific coast, with surfing hotspots, tranquil natural surroundings and vibrant beach communities. It has been recognized internationally as one of Central America’s rising eco-luxury destinations. It’s the kind of setting that turns a special trip into something truly unforgettable.
Mizata by Antiresort combines a regenerative resort, retreat center, anti-aging clinic, music studio and vibrant day club in one location. Resort guests enjoy modern luxury while reconnecting with nature through wellness experiences including yoga, couples massage, healing rituals led by a Mayan shaman, horseback riding and surfing.
Sit Back and Let Mizata Staff Plan the Details

A key component of a well-planned and stress-free wedding or romantic getaway is having someone who handles the details for you. At Mizata, you won’t have to carry the heavy weight of planning by yourself. You are assigned a personal retreat designer dedicated to creating the event of your dreams. You’ll meet your concierge during Discovery Week and taste menus, tour ceremony sites, meet planners on the resort’s wedding team and explore the possibilities.
Your dedicated planner designs vision boards and coordinates vendors during planning and provides full on-site management on the day of your event, so you and your partner can focus on each other. Whether you want barefoot vows beneath palm trees, intimate beachfront dinners by candlelight, restorative wellness treatments, or surfing adventures, you can completely customize your experience.
Stay Your Way

Begin by choosing the accommodations that suit you. Stay in a beachfront treehouse with panoramic ocean views and infinity porches or choose a jungle treehouse amid lush foliage. You also can select a beachfront or jungle bungalow.

Then choose your experiences. Mizata has a strong wellness component. Experience the revitalization of an immersion in a cold plunge. Detox and restore in the sauna enhanced with red light therapy. Book a couples massage to melt away tension. Join a daily yoga and meditation session in a beachfront shala. Experience a traditional Mesoamerican healing ritual guided by a Mayan shaman, including sound healing and breathwork. Book a treatment in the Thrivelab Longevity Clinic, such as an IV drip or hyperbaric therapy. Or work out in the jungle gym. Everything is handled via private bookings.
“Wellness has always been part of Mizata’s essence,” says Mizata by Antiresort’s manager, Alyesha Sayle. “There’s something about being held between the ocean and the jungle that invites deep rest and recalibration.”

Adventure awaits at Mizata, if you so choose. Book an off-site adventure such as horseback riding on the beach, surfing the area’s famous waves, guided tours of local El Salvadoran hotspots or a recording session in the resort’s music studio. Perhaps a waterfall hike in the jungle is more your speed, or a trek up Volcán Ilamatepec, the country’s tallest volcano. You may find a coffee plantation tour or a dip in the thermal hot springs more relaxing. Or have the staff plan a night outing to El Tunco to enjoy live music and dancing.
Enjoy Unique On-site Dining

A romantic getaway wouldn’t be complete without delicious local cuisine. Guests never have to step foot off of the resort to experience farm-to-table dining at Nawi Beach House. Enjoy fresh dishes and tropical drinks with your toes in the sand. Or you may choose to try Ishwi Omakase, a sensory tasting experience created by Chef Gerardo Rivas. This experience combines storytelling, local ingredients and a minimalist Japanese style for delicious meals. Both spots are open to wedding guests and can be booked for private dining experiences—like post-ceremony dinners and welcome night tastings.
Getting There: What to Know
Your gateway to Mizata begins at El Salvador International Airport Saint Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez (SAL)—the country’s main international hub. Located roughly 35 miles east of Mizata, SAL is serviced by major airlines including American Airlines, United Airlines, Avianca and Volaris El Salvador, with direct flights from several major U.S. cities. Ilopango Airport (ILS) is another option, though it’s less direct and not typically recommended for international arrivals.
Reaching Mizata by car is the quickest option. For comfort and convenience, private transport services arranged through the resort concierge are highly recommended.
U.S. citizens must present a valid passport. A $12 USD tourist card is required upon arrival and is valid for 90 to 180 days. As of August 1, 2025, no visa is required for stays under 90 days for U.S. passport holders.
Quick Tips:
• Best Time to Visit: The dry season (November to April) offers perfect weather for beach escapes and outdoor adventures.
• Language: Both English and Spanish are widely spoken at the resort, making communication easy.
• Safety Tip: It is always suggested to book transport and excursions through trusted vendors or the resort concierge.
